Information we keep

We store your notebook name, time zone, language and appearance preferences, writing, mood entries, drawings and attached photos. An account identifier supports sync; linking Apple or Google processes the account information supplied by that provider. With notification permission, a device notification token is used.

How information is used

Information saves your notebook, restores it across devices, shares with your chosen person, delivers notifications and verifies purchase access. Content-free usage events and technical logs may be processed to operate and improve the service. Support requests include your email, message, category and technical submission information.

Providers and security

Google Firebase provides identity, data, file and notification services. Adapty and the relevant app store manage purchase access. Providers may process information in countries where they operate. Daybook does not receive your payment card details. Local content and cloud entry payloads are encrypted; authorized backend services can recover keys. This is not end-to-end encryption.

Sharing with one person

Sharing is optional. Visual-only sharing excludes your writing and mood; a photo attached to a drawing may form part of the shared image. Stopping sharing cuts off new access but cannot recall screenshots already taken. Widgets may temporarily store images on your device.

Retention and deletion

Notebook data is retained while you use your account. You can request account and data deletion in the app; this removes your profile, entries, private media and related support requests. Provider backups and legally required transaction records may follow separate retention processes; we do not promise immediate erasure from every system. Manage subscriptions separately through the store.

Your choices

Export your data, change sharing and notification preferences, or delete your account in the app. Contact us for access, correction or deletion requests. Recovery is not guaranteed if access to an unlinked anonymous session is lost.

This website

This site does not require an account. Language and public link settings may be stored in your browser. Hosting and configuration providers may process IP addresses and request information for delivery and security. No advertising or marketing tracking pixels have been added to the site.
